International shipping
Customs data is part of the booking, not a label afterthought.
The local sandbox demonstrates customs schemas. Current PX international rates have a server adapter; international V1 shipment creation is blocked until provider item-weight, identifier and duty rules are certified.
Quote the actual route
Use different country codes and accurate postcodes. Service availability, transit estimates, document requirements and duty terms vary by destination and courier. Sandbox international quotes are schema fixtures only.
Declare every item
International shipment creation requires a customs object with at least one item, currency, reason_for_export and terms. Each item needs description, quantity, unit value, unit weight, HS code and origin country. Provide eligible EORI, VAT and IOSS identifiers where needed. Sandbox validates structure; it does not validate tax eligibility or tariff correctness.
DAP and DDP
DAP is supported by the sandbox. DDP is reserved in the contract but rejected by sandbox capability checks. Live DDP requires eligible courier service, landed-cost funding and PX business validation. DDU is not accepted in this V1 contract. Existing website provider support does not establish a universal merchant API capability.
